A recording of several single notes on the ukelele. Noisy, not a totally clean recording either (some bleed from a c string that i didn't intend to touch). This sound was originally created for the coursera course "audio signal processing for music applications. " i recorded this sound myself with a zoom h2 microphone and a kala classical ukelele.

This was recorded at the san giorgi in braida church along the adige river in verona, italy. I used a zoom h1 set on the top of a pew a few seats away from where i sat. The organist was practicing at nearly the other end of the church, hence the atmospheric and distant audio quality.

An antique underwood no. 11 typewriter, ca. 1925. Sound was recorded on a zoom h4 in a sound booth. I'm particularly impressed by this because the capsules are running on the 2. 5v of plug-in power that the h1 delivers, which is below the minimum specs of the capsules. Even so there is remarkably little noise. I can only imagine how they would sound with a battery pack to deliver a full 5 volts!.
